Installation Guide

Follow these simple steps to install PassNow on your Chrome browser.

PassNow Chrome Extension

Installation Steps

Download the extension

Click the download button above or get it from your dashboard after logging in.

Open Chrome Extensions

Go to chrome://extensions in your browser or click Menu > More Tools > Extensions.

Enable Developer Mode

Toggle the 'Developer mode' switch in the top right corner of the extensions page.

Load the extension

Click 'Load unpacked' and select the unzipped PassNow folder. The extension is now installed!

Installation complete!

Manual Installation

If you prefer to install manually or the automatic installation doesn't work:

Download the extension ZIP file from your dashboard
Extract the ZIP file to a folder on your computer
Open Chrome and go to chrome://extensions
Enable Developer mode in the top right
Click 'Load unpacked' and select the extracted folder

Verify Installation

Check that PassNow is working correctly:

You should see the PassNow icon in your browser toolbar
Clicking the icon should show your credit balance
Pressing Alt+X should activate the selection tool

Common Installation Issues

Extension not showing in toolbar

Click the puzzle icon in Chrome toolbar and pin PassNow

Alt+X shortcut not working

Make sure you're on a webpage (not Chrome settings) and the extension is enabled

Error loading extension

Make sure you selected the correct folder containing manifest.json
